Twilight - What have you done to my wife?

I just really don't understand grown women being so obsessed with this drivel... Especially women that should have a little more eternal perspective than to be swept up in such nonsense... poor writing, characters and story not even fully developed... Nonetheless, it sure has captured tons of Desperate Housewives! Check out this hilarious video clip...

Loved the vid.
When I went to see the newest movie, the first scene where Jacob show up, he is without a shirt and everyone in the theater started screaming...
I looked over to my friend and said, "Do these women realize that kid is young enough to be their son?"
It's crazy really!

I agrea with you. I loved the books. But for a different reason, it made me want my husband more. I loved the "LOVE" between them. I know someone that has done nothing but post about "Edward" on her blog (yes married, with 2 kids) I was so annoyed I stopped looking at her blog and I have a bad taste for the whole "Twilight" movies now. I agrea.... ETERNAL Perspective here. Jeff just laughs at how annoyed I get. He would deffintely laugh at us. (not in a mean way - he just thinkgs it is funny because how all the other women are gah-gah for him) Okay. I will stop now...

I also liked reading the books...just for a fun page-turning experience, but I had to skip over the trite dialogue or quote it outloud to Paul so we cold both groan together. It's sad that people can't separate mediocre entertainment from reality. I worry about the teens/tweens especially.
I'm just starting The Passage, which is supposed to be a grown-up vampire story...I'll let you know what I think.

Tracy I am a bit more than halfway through the passage ... The first half was really long. but it's interesting now... A little bit of Orson Scott Card's Homecoming or King's The Stand.

If you really want good vampire books read the Anne Rice books - they are the best!

I've said it before, I'll probably say it again: if I overhear one more "Team Edward vs. Team Jacob" discussion among women old enough to know better, I'm loading up and heading for the nearest clock tower.
